Row-Level Security

How do you protect the data in your database from internal users? The user has access to a table to read/update information pertaining to his department, but he should not be able to access other departments data. His desktop application restricts this, but if you bypass the application you also bypass the security. Users have access to a variety of tools (SSMS, SSRS, Excel,…) that give them access to the data.

The answer to this problem is to implement Row-Level Security (RLS). In this presentation Chris Frye will show you how to implement RLS and link it back to Active Directory.

When:  Tuesday, October 8, 2019 @ 4:30 PM

Where: Microsoft Offices, 401 W. Front Street, Boise ID
